Rachael Brady: Blockchain Innovator and Web3 Pioneer
In our latest interview, we had the pleasure of speaking with Rachael Brady, a developer and tech pioneer leading the way in the blockchain space with her innovative projects. From her NFT platform Molly Match to her contributions in video streaming with Gibeo.io, Rachael’s work embodies the future of decentralized technology and its real-world applications.
Rachael’s Journey into Blockchain
Rachael’s background as a developer comes with a multifaceted skill set that blends both creativity and technical prowess. From ghost-hunting devices to tailoring dresses in her spare time, she has a knack for weaving her passions into her professional endeavors. Initially, she had a skeptical view of blockchain, likening it to a scam due to its association with speculative investing. However, as she took a deeper dive into on-chain data, she realized its potential, especially the immutability of data that blockchain technology ensures.
One of her early projects was Molly Match, an NFT-based game she co-developed with her daughter. Drawing inspiration from platforms like CryptoKitties, Molly Match takes a more sophisticated approach, using the principles of DNA to create unique and dynamic digital cats. What started as a personal challenge quickly became a learning experience in blockchain technology. Molly Match has gained traction at local conventions, proving that blockchain gaming can bridge the gap between traditional gamers and emerging technologies like NFTs.
Embracing Bitcoin SV (BSV) for Molly Match
Rachael’s choice of blockchain for her projects is Bitcoin SV (BSV), known for its fast transaction speeds and low fees—two key elements that make it ideal for gaming and NFT applications. Despite the initial skepticism and negativity toward BSV, Rachael’s experience has been largely positive, especially when presenting Molly Match at conventions where attendees were impressed by the platform’s speed and usability.
Her team, Beryllium Team aka the B-Team, has also been working to enhance the BSV ecosystem by contributing to Python libraries and open-source tools. They’ve even customized an older library, BitSV, to add functionality that streamlines the management of multiple private keys, which helps users secure their assets with ease.
Challenges and Future of Molly Match
While Molly Match has achieved great milestones, the journey wasn’t without challenges. One of the most significant hurdles has been the reliance on outdated or JavaScript-based libraries in the blockchain space, while her team primarily uses Python. Rachael and her team are committed to overcoming these obstacles by building their own tools and collaborating with developers within the BSV community to improve documentation and accessibility for developers who prefer Python.
Looking ahead, Rachael envisions Molly Match evolving not just as an NFT project but as part of a larger gaming ecosystem that incorporates more blockchain technologies. By continuing to explore the possibilities of fast transactions and lower fees, she believes Molly Match and similar platforms could help revolutionize the gaming industry.
The Bigger Picture: Gibeo.io and the Future of Decentralized Content
Beyond gaming, Rachael’s involvement in blockchain extends to Gibeo.io, a video-sharing platform designed to give content creators the ability to earn microtransactions directly from viewers. Gibeo.io’s unique selling point is its integration with HandCash wallets, allowing creators to be paid in small amounts per episode, creating a fairer and more accessible monetization model than traditional platforms like YouTube.
Empowering the Blockchain Community
Through her work, Rachael is not just pushing the boundaries of what blockchain can do; she’s also creating pathways for others to follow. She embodies the ethos of “learn by teaching,” and her projects are prime examples of how blockchain technology can be accessible to everyone. From her coding tutorials to open-source contributions, Rachael is a strong advocate for knowledge sharing in the Web3 space.

Rachael Brady is a force in the blockchain world, continually innovating and applying her deep knowledge to real-world solutions. Whether you’re a developer, a gamer, or simply someone interested in emerging technology, Rachael’s projects are worth following.
